Zoë Bowen Smith as Calliope
Zoë is an actor, singer, comedian, writer, and producer based in Los Angeles, California. Leading award-winning productions both onstage and on-screen, Zoë is a versatile, energetic emerging artist with comedic sensibility and thoughtful technique. She can be seen on Netflix in Academy Award-nominated Rustin (2023), the acclaimed independent shorts The Death of Anne Brontë (2022), and Jesus Would Have Loved Punk Rock (2022). Zoë recently starred in Incredibly Okay Film's last feature, The Trip (2024) streaming now on YouTube.
Ari Fromm as Leonardo
Ari (they/them/he) is an LA-based actor, voice actor, and content creator. They are passionate about telling stories around trans issues, disability, mental health, and marginalization. Janine Sobeck Knighton: Playwright
Janine is delighted to join the Premiere the Play community. An award-winning playwright, her stories have been seen around the globe, including London, NYC, Chicago, Connecticut, Ohio, and Utah. One of her plays, Scaredy Kat Presents, is available through YouthPLAYS. Beyond the stage, Janine is a 2024 Fred Rogers Writers’ Neighborhood Fellow and a Second Round finisher at the Austin Film Festival. Natalie Kane: Director
Natalie is thrilled to return for a new season of Premiere the Play! A New York-based theatre artist passionate about developing new plays, she has worked on recent seasons at National Women’s Theatre Festival, Roundabout Theatre Company, and Gloucester Stage. For PTP: Mommy-Person, The Powers That Be, Zig-Zag, and The Puck Project. Favorite directing credits elsewhere include Dinosaur on the Moon (WTFringe), Lady Percy Will Not Sing (ShakespeareMoves Festival), and The Winter’s Tale (Evergreen Theatre Collective). Rebecca is the founder of Dean Productions and host of Premiere the Play. As a theatre director, her work has been seen around the world, including New York, London, New Jersey, Washington DC, Bali, and California. Among her solo directing credits are The Last Five Years, Into the Woods, Love’s Labour’s Lost, The Comedic Tragedy of Macbeth, The 39 Steps, Sleeping Beauty Ballet, The Lady of Shallot, The Importance of Being Earnest, and The Ghost Sonata, the Opera. Rebecca recently made her film directorial debut with Binders and The Rise of the Binders, the prequel mini-series.
